Every year I like to chose a big summer project. This year I decided to re-do my room. It took me quite a while to figure out what I wanted exactly, and how to re decorate, but in the end, i really did like how it turned out.
In the begigning it took me a wwhile just to figure what colors I wanted. There's alot to choose from! But the color rthat really cought my attention was gray. I think gray matches with pretty much anything, so I thought why not. So then I thought , "Hey, how about a pop of color!?" First it was turqouis, then light pink, then a hot pink, and then back to a blue. At that point I just gave up and wanted to do a white. I know right? What a WHITE? Really!!! But luckily for me, I have artists for parents and they said that white, probably i'snt me. So I agreed to keep looking. I went back to looking through color swatches and looking online for some room designs. In the end I chose a color that resembles to a Tiffany Blue. Also at the same time, I chose a design that I thought would be such a nice touch to add in the room. Chevron! I've been pretty addicted to the chevron pattern for a while. Now, let me tell you guys this, it is not easy to do. If you're a person who likes to get things done pretty fast and easily, then this pattern i'snt for you. The pattern itself took me about 4 days to complete. A day into setting up the pattern, I was abbout to give up, but eventually i talked myself into continuing on the project. It took me a while to complete my entire room, and move back into my room, but it is finally done!
I must say, im pretty proud of myself for completing this project all by myself. Litteraly , I did the whole entire room all by myself, that includes, moving out the furniture, taking off all of the wall decore, setting up the room to paint, the actual painting, the chevron pattern and then putting everything back into place. It was a tough project, but im glad I pulled it off!
Its still summer guys! So if you have beeen thinking of doing a project by your self or maybe with some friends, try doing it. It could be redoing your room, or redocorating, starting a fashion line, anything! Try it, you may surprise your self in the end!
Hope you have fun!
