Thought I would do a small post before I head to sleep. It's just past midnight right now and I'm pretty nervous! In just 7 hours I'll be getting up and going back to school. I actually have mixed feelings about this year. I've met all of my teachers and most of them seem to be pretty nice, one of them is actually terrified of me because my friend joked about me being a troublemaker, but surely I'm not. Oh friends, what will you do without them? Really, I am nervous but yet, excited. I'm a junior now. One year closer to graduation, new life, new adventures. This year will be terrifying and very exciting! Even though I may be tar tidied of what lies ahead of me, I can't wait to experience a new year. Goodnight! xoxo Nana Every year I like to chose a big summer project. This year I decided to re-do my room. It took me quite a while to figure out what I wanted exactly, and how to re decorate, but in the end, i really did like how it turned out.
In the begigning it took me a wwhile just to figure what colors I wanted. There's alot to choose from! But the color rthat really cought my attention was gray. I think gray matches with pretty much anything, so I thought why not. So then I thought , "Hey, how about a pop of color!?" First it was turqouis, then light pink, then a hot pink, and then back to a blue. At that point I just gave up and wanted to do a white. I know right? What a WHITE? Really!!! But luckily for me, I have artists for parents and they said that white, probably i'snt me. So I agreed to keep looking. I went back to looking through color swatches and looking online for some room designs. In the end I chose a color that resembles to a Tiffany Blue. Also at the same time, I chose a design that I thought would be such a nice touch to add in the room. Chevron! I've been pretty addicted to the chevron pattern for a while. Now, let me tell you guys this, it is not easy to do. If you're a person who likes to get things done pretty fast and easily, then this pattern i'snt for you. The pattern itself took me about 4 days to complete. A day into setting up the pattern, I was abbout to give up, but eventually i talked myself into continuing on the project. It took me a while to complete my entire room, and move back into my room, but it is finally done! I must say, im pretty proud of myself for completing this project all by myself. Litteraly , I did the whole entire room all by myself, that includes, moving out the furniture, taking off all of the wall decore, setting up the room to paint, the actual painting, the chevron pattern and then putting everything back into place. It was a tough project, but im glad I pulled it off! Its still summer guys! So if you have beeen thinking of doing a project by your self or maybe with some friends, try doing it. It could be redoing your room, or redocorating, starting a fashion line, anything! Try it, you may surprise your self in the end! Hope you have fun! xoxo Nana P.S. Its Back-To-School Season guys! Hopefully I'll be able to do some back to school inspired blogs! Alright guys, it has been the longest since I've been on here. The reason is because for some reason, I was unable to put up a post! It didn't let me! I was struggling for 3 weeks, but now it works! Anyways. Right now I am very sad because, summer is coming to an end. I start school on Wednesday, and guys, I'm not ready. At all! I still have yet to finish my summer homework and I have extra curricular activities that I have been doing for the past couple of weeks. Also, I really want to catch up on posting some more. So I have decided to do, like a daily blog. I'm not sure what or how it will be, but I will start on Wednesday. I also have ideas circling around, but yet again not entirely sure when I will start posting especially since school is just around the corner. But I am most definitely will be here for a while. So please bare with me! Hope you guys enjoy for what's coming soon! Also catch up with me on Twitter and Instagram! xoxo Nana Recently I went to the store to pick up items to try out. I ussually do this towards the end of the school year, but this time I wanted to do it towards the beginning of the school year.. This time I bought Beach Babe by Not Your Mothers. I've heard so many good things about this brand. People are raving about it non-stop. So when I saw that it was now available at the store, I went ahead and got it. This product is a texturizing sea salt spay that has dead sea salt and sea kelp. Beach Babe gives you a hairstyle that makes you look like you just spent the day in the beach. I'm really amazed by how my hair looked when I sprayed it on. I was also surprised by how fast the product works! Just a few seconds after I sprayed the product onto my hair and worked it in, it automatically gave me amazing results. It really looks like I've spent the day in the beach, even though I live no where close to a beach. Not only does the product work wonders, but it also smells amazing. It kind of smells like coconuts, so that's a plus! Hey guys! It's just past midnight right now, and for some reason I am wide awake and I just felt like posting something quick! I have been thinking about some ideas of blog posts to put up. A couple of ideas were some DIYs Ideas, some Outfit Posts, and maybe some other things aswell. I'm not 100% sure, but hopefully I can get those ideas straight so that I could post them. Also, some of these posts will feature some of my friends. Also, again, maybe some of you guys can help me come up with some ideas, so comment or email me. That would be so great and very helpful! Thank You! -xoxo Nana. P.S. Check out my Instagram, Twitter or Keek! That would be amazing! Thanks Again! This week has probably been the busiest of the summer. My friends were visiting from out of town, hanging out with my friends, and I also volunteered at this summer music camp. I have really missed being this busy, but I did forget how tiring it can be. But I did have an amazing time! My friends and I did a couple of things this past week. We went to the mall, many times, went to go see White House Down, it was the second time for me, but that movie is just so good, and we went out to eat a couple of times. We made a lot of memories this week, that I know I will never forget. My friend left earlier today, and I miss her soo very much. I can't wait until she comes back, so that we can make even more hilarious memories. The camp that i volunteered at is called The Bow-Dacious String Band Camp. I used attend the camp a couple years back, and i also used to be a part of the actual band, but then i started to be apart of many activities, so I wasn't able to continue on, so then i started to volunteer for them. This was my third year volunteering for this camp, it's one of the things I look forward to every summer since I love volunteering and having a fun time listening to the kids play music. Not only did i have a great time with the kids, but this year I had two of my other friends volunteer as well. Volunteering is something i enjoy doing, i do it as much as I can. Whenever there's an opportunity available, I will be there. My goal this week was to stay busy, and that is exactly what happened. I hate it when I'm at home, just doing absolutely nothing. I need to be out and about, if it's going on a walk, hanging with my friends, or volunteering, it will happen. I really don't like staying in one place. So if you are like me, and you just can't be home for a long period of time doing nothing, get out your calendar, contact your friends, and make up a plan to go out, or go look for some volunteering opportunities, not only will it look good on college applications, but it will also make you feel good. Until next time, xoxo Nana P.S. Fashion Section Now Updated! Pictures aren't that great, but will be fixed soon! Hello, Hello! How has everyone's week been? I am now back home. When i got home, I went to Starbucks to meet up with some of my friends. It was nice catching up with them and sharing our stories from our childhood while sipping on some delicious drinks on a nice summer day. Once I got back home, I went to my closet to re-organize. I love re-organzing my closet, not only to make it look nice and make it easier to find thing, but I also find some old things and I ALWAYS end up makig a whole bunch of outfits. The next day, my friend Karla and I went out for lunch at Olive Garden. It was very nice to catch up with one of my bestfriends, and a nice talk with her. Afterwards we went to the mall, and we shopped for a bit. I bought a couple of products at Sephora and then bought two very cute rings from this amazing store, that I love going to everytime, called Earthbound. I swear, everytime I enterEarthbound, I just feel so calm. All of the scents filled in the store, just calms me down and release all types of stress. Afterwards, my friend from Colombia flew in, and we walked around town and met up with our other friend, Paula. We've known eachother for about 6 years, and even though she lives thousands of miles away from us, we are still close and we keep in-touch. Today, all three of us went to the mall, and went to our friends' house, and we ate pizza, I tought them how to do the "Cup Song" from Pitch Perfect, and we took a lot of pictures. At the moment, all four of us, Laura, Paula, Celia, and I, are watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and looking at our phones, searching for something new to talk about. I love it when I have a full day just for us girls. I think it is healthy for us to just have a day to hang out, go to the movies or the mall, maybe have a spa day. The one thing that I love doing with my girls, other than going shopping, ofcourse, is going out for a walk, especially if it's a nice summer day. Not only do you get to catch up, or hang out and have a conversation, but you also get a good excersing session out of it. So, go out with your friends, do something productive! You will have an amazing time, trust me. Until Next Time, xoxo, Nana At the moment, I'm just here watching Ghost Whisperer on Netflix. I've noticed that Netflix has been my best friend, especially now, since I've been at my grandmothers for the past two weeks doing absolutely nothing, but watching Netflix. I can not wait 'till I'm back home, as Dorothy would say "There's no place like home". I miss my friends, I miss being busy and I also miss going out into the world. |
